HMoob utilized these hand-made bamboo baskets to carry everyday essentials to the garden, gather herbs, and/or to carry their packed meals for the long day out in the field. This kawm represents the ways grandmothers heal through gardening, gathering, and cultivating herbs for healing purposes. In this particular exhibit, it is a symbolic object that represents the memories and trauma HMoob people experienced and continue to carry with them.
