Iconic blankets, typically bought at the flea markets, and many HMoob families own at least one of these blankets. Relatives were offered these soft and warm blankets to their guests. Daughters were also given these blankets when they got married. HMoob people believe that any “wife” should be able to provide their guests with warm blankets.

“We call it pam mev because when we were growing up we bought it at the farmer’s market, and it was always Latinx folks who sold these. But these are made in China. But they are the warmest things. We got two of these from my mom as phij cuam.”
